stay in touch

Welcome and thanks for visiting my site. I hope you enjoy browsing through my work. Drop by from time to time and stay abreast of my ever growing portfolio of originals, signed prints, postcards, posters and more recently, published material.

I was born in Sligo in 1973. I graduated from Limerick College of Art & Design in 1997. I now live and work in Dublin. My paintings are figurative in style. History is a large influence in my work and you'll notice it as an underlying theme throughout my work.

So, what am I up to in 2010:

I think this is exciting! If you've looked through my site you'll have seen the Irish Air Corps paintings. This year I am starting a new project of paintings on the Irish Army. Working with the army press office I hope to portray the work and activities of their organisation. The bigger picture is to have a body of work about our defence forces for a possible exhibition in 2016 as part of the Easter Rising centenery.

History Ireland Magazine are running a reader offer of my prints this year and I am working with the publisher of that magazine on an illustrated book about the 1916 Easter Rising. This may form part of or be a seperate exhibition to the defence forces one just mentioned.

In March I travel to Kerry for my third residency in Cill Rialaig artists retreat which will allow me to produce a new body of work and meet other artists. When I get back i'll post some pics of my new work and images of my stay.

For the month of May I have a two-man show with another Irish artist, Paul Woods. We both have an interest in military themes and the McKenna Gallery at Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge, has seen fit to bring us together for what should be a very original show.

I continue to promote my paintings and drawings with a view to securing exhibitions for the future in arts centres and galleries around Ireland. If you are someone who works in (or knows anyone in) an arts centre then I would be very interested in talking about the possiblility of having a show.

If you like what I do and want to keep updated then feel free to submit your name and email address in my 'stay in touch' page.
